We are a community-based nonprofit focused on building better communities. At The Mac Effect, we aim to inspire. Inspiration is a powerful motivator, and by exposing youth to successful role models and opportunities, we open their eyes to possibilities they may have never considered. Our programs encourage them to dream big and follow their ambitions. We also understand the transformative power of owning a business, not just for the individual, but for their entire community. By teaching business skills, financial literacy, and the basics of entrepreneurship, we help youth take the crucial first steps towards business ownership, including resources to start their ventures, support to navigate challenges and barriers, and guidance to live better lives.

At The Mac Effect, we inspire the next generation by actively engaging with them through impactful programs that ignite their potential and broaden their horizons.
One key strategy is mentorship, where we connect young people with mentors who have walked similar paths and achieved success. These mentors provide guidance, support, and real-world advice, serving as tangible examples of what can be achieved with determination and hard work.
We also offer educational workshops on various topics including entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and leadership. These workshops are designed to be interactive and engaging, fostering a love for learning and self-improvement.
Our President, who hails from inner-city Chicago, is a true reflection of the communities she represents. With a strong passion for helping youth, she’s on a mission to inspire the next generation to chase their dreams, just as she did.
As someone who knows first-hand what it means to grow up in Chicago, she’s dedicated to giving back and making sure every young person has the tools, support, and encouragement they need to succeed. Her journey from the city’s neighborhoods to leadership is a testament to what’s possible, and she’s here to share that energy and excitement with the youth she serves!

Classic
Thanks to all of those who attended our 🎾💗 Entrepreneur Event in Chicago! It truly was an inspiring day of tennis and entrepreneurship, where everyone connected with like-minded women, learned from successful entrepreneurs, and enjoyed a thrilling tennis experience. The event featured keynote speeches by leading female entrepreneurs and celebrity guests, networking sessions, exciting tennis matches, and engaging business workshops and panel discussions. Plus, all participants received step-by-step guides to help them advance in their field. We can’t wait until the next event! 🎾💗
Back 2 School Annual
Giveaway
The Mac Effect was proud to host its annual Back 2 School Giveaway this August. This community-driven event was dedicated to supporting Chicago youth as they prepare for the new school year. This initiative provided essential school supplies, backpacks, and other resources to help students start the year off right, equipped and ready to succeed. By ensuring that every child has the tools they need, we’re not only lightening the load for families but also empowering our youth to approach their education with confidence and enthusiasm. Thank you to all those who attended and supported!

Supports the mental well-being of Chicago youth through our collaboration with MacCare Mental Health & Healing Center. By leveraging our connections with credentialed mental health counselors, we provide access to comprehensive mental health support rooted in evidence-based practices. Our approach ensures that young people receive the guidance and care they need to navigate life’s challenges and achieve mental and emotional wellness.

Provides essential items and services to Chicago residents who are most in need. From back-to-school supplies to holiday food drives to winter coats, free haircuts, and prom giveaways, these events are designed to alleviate the pressures on financially strained families. Violence Intervention
Is part of our efforts to create safer communities in Chicago. We work directly with individuals who are at risk of involvement in violence, offering conflict resolution and de-escalation training, counseling, mental health, and support services. Our proactive approach focuses on prevention, aiming to reduce violence through education and by providing alternatives that steer youth away from dangerous behaviors, to productive lifestyles.

Our President, Stacia Mac, collaborated with Dr. Princess Lomax from Lomax Urban Outreach and Ronneshia, Owner of Pretty Hair Weave to provide designer prom dresses to young women in the Chicago area. Our goal was more than just offering beautiful gowns; we aimed to boost their self-esteem and confidence.
By giving these young women the chance to wear a designer dress, we sought to create an unforgettable and empowering experience that honors their unique beauty and individuality.

Meet Stacia Mac…
President & Founder
Stacia Mac, the visionary serial entrepreneur empowering artists and communities, is a force to be reckoned with. As the founder and CEO of House of Legends Records, she has carved out a remarkable path for herself and her clients. A Chicago native, Stacia's early roots in the industry were marked by her pivotal role in negotiating a contract with Columbia Records for her son and rising star Polo G. Her keen negotiation skills and strategic acumen were instrumental in constructing, negotiating, and finalizing Polo's album deal with the major label, setting the stage for his rapid rise.
When it comes to impact, Stacia's extends far beyond the entertainment industry. She is a skilled motivational speaker and a strong advocate for community empowerment and education. In 2022, she was honored as one of Billboard's Women in Music Top Executives, a testament to her multifaceted achievements. Stacia has also founded the "Find Her Way" bail bond project, an initiative aimed at supporting incarcerated women in Chicago, and has organized food, clothing, school fees and prom dress giveaways, in Chicago, demonstrating her commitment to giving back to her community.

Our annual Turkey Drive and Car Giveaway embodies the true spirit of Thanksgiving—a time for reflection, gratitude, and giving back to the community. As families gather to celebrate this cherished holiday, we recognize that not everyone has the same reasons or means to give thanks. Our initiative aims to ensure that more families can enjoy a festive Thanksgiving meal. Through our community-based events and giveaways, we are not just offering temporary relief but are also helping to bridge a gap that can transform daily lives.
Find Her Way Bail Bond Project
On March 30, Our President, Stacia Mac spearheaded the “Find Her Way Bail Bond Project” and collaborated with Dr. Princess Lomax, President of Lomax Urban Outreach and Ronneshia, Owner of Pretty Hair Weave to provide bail for women facing non-violent charges in Chicago. In celebration of Women’s History Month, we helped to free a number of women to promote positive change, while uplifting our community. This event is another example of women collaborating to support residents in need.
Back 2 School Annual Giveaway
On Sunday, August 18, The Mac Effect, in collaboration with Pretty Hair Weave, proudly sponsored a Back-to-School Giveaway in Chicago. Together, we provided over 100 students with essential backpacks, school supplies, and toiletries, helping to equip them for a successful school year. It was truly heartwarming to see the smiles on their faces and to know that we’re making a positive impact in our community. It’s a blessing to be able to give back and support our future leaders—proof that when we come together, we can create meaningful change!
